Communications

Two important lines of communication betwen the school and parents are Parent Mail and the Parents' Forum.

PARENTMAIL

In order to keep in touch with parents we use a system called Parentmail® which enables us to send our letters and messages direct to you by email and text message. The ParentMail® service is registered with the Data Protection Registrar and guarantees that all information supplied will be kept completely private.

There is also no advertising associated with the scheme. All normal correspondence to you will be sent by Parentmail® and in addition, our first day calling process (when we contact you when your child has not arrived in school) or any emergency information (when the school has to close unexpectedly or cannot open) will be sent to you by text. Please respond to those texts by telephoning the school office as soon as possible.

The Parentmail website is www.parentmail.co.uk

Those of you who do not have access to email/mobiles will receive information in the normal way, by paper/telephone, but you will be able to join the scheme at any point in the future when you are ready.

Our school messages will be sent from the email address messages@parentmail.co.uk. Please make sure you add this address to your email address book (or approved sender list) in order to prevent messages being blocked by your spam/junk filters. Please also check your junk/spam folder regularly in case messages go there.

If you do join the scheme please ensure that you keep your email/mobile details up to date not only with the school office but also with Parentmail®.

Please complete the attached form and hand it into the office so that we may add your details to the Parentmail® system.

PARENTS' FORUM

The Parents' Forum meets several times each per year to give the parents and carers an opportunity to raise school-wide issues with the Headteacher.

Notification of the dates of the Parents' Forum can be found on the School Diary on this website.  A formal notification of the next Forum with a return slip, for parents to identify issues they would like to discuss, will come home in you child's book bag shortly before the Forum.

Issues relating to your child's class or year group should be raised in the first instance with their class teacher.
