Note that these are independent fee paying schools. Assistance with fees was gained this year through the 14 county scholarships available for high performance in the schools’ entrance examinations. This system will taper to 12 for the year of entry for September 2011 when the scholarship scheme will cease. The endowed schools have offered a number of our children who have narrowly missed out on a scholarship place, a bursary, dependent upon parental income, to help families to take up a place.

Working in Partnership

We work closely with all of our partner secondary schools to ensure a smooth transition from Year 6 to Year 7. In addition to the formal “taster” days we have a number of shared events over the year which encourages familiarity with secondary staff and arrangements. This year this has included a “mini Olympics” sports event at Casterton, visiting pupil music groups, a Young Enterprise initiative and a Maths extravaganza at Queen Eleanor.

Transition Evening - May

The school invites local secondary schools and Lincolnshire Choice Advice Service to come to the school for an evening in May so that parents can find out about the secondary options. Information provided by the secondary schools is provided below for your information.
