Year 6 have continued on from their budgeting project last week to, this week, creating their very own theme park! They had to decide on their name, their target audience and amenities, all whilst sticking to a budget, working the daily running cost of the theme park, including first aid provision, waste disposal and food concessions. They then decided how they would market their park, considering which medium they would advertise through and then designed a poster to entice customers to their attraction. This has been a really fun way to learn about what attractions need to consider when working out entry fees, but also to understand about profit and loss and why external costs such as public liability insurance are necessary. #nurtureandgrowth #engageandinspire #prideandjoy
