Our Y1 children had a special visitor at school today to learn about life in the 1950s, for their new History topic on toys and childhood in the past. Mrs Morgan astonished the children by telling them that few homes then had indoor toilets, televisions or telephones! The children loved hearing about the old-fashioned toys, games and sweets. and showed their appreciation by making ‘thank you’ cards and handing these over afterwards. #engageandinspire #prideandjoy #nurtureandgrowth
