Our EYFS children have been making Christingles this week, following which they joined our Y4 children for a Christingle service led by Rev Hollins and  Julia  from Barn Hill Church. They taught us about Christingles and how they symbolise Jesus as the Light of the World, with each part representing Christian beliefs: the orange is the world, the candle is Jesus's light/hope, the red ribbon is His blood/love, and the sweets/fruit on sticks (representing seasons/creation) are God's gifts. Used in Advent services, they tell the story of Christ bringing light to humanity. #prideandjoy #engageandinspire #nurtureandgrowth
