It is my privilege to welcome you to the Malcolm Sargent Primary School.
Our school aims to provide the best all round education for children. Collectively, our approach is called
“The Malcolm Sargent Way” and is centred on our three core values:
Engage & Inspire: Our pupils are inspired and motivated by the learning opportunities which have been created for them.
Nurture & Growth: Everyone seeks to improve, develop and share; not because we are not good enough, but because we can all be even better!
Pride & Joy: We take pride in our achievements and this is evident in what we do and how we do it.
My excellent staff team has very high expectations of our pupils and we are very proud of their achievements, which prepare them exceptionally well for the future. Academically, our outcomes are consistently ranked in the top 20% of high performing schools nationally. We are, however, equally proud of our emphasis on our pupils’ outstanding personal development including their behaviour, manners and attitudes.
My staff team strives to provide an exciting and engaging curriculum, rich in opportunities for children, to further their interests and expertise. Of particular note is our emphasis on music, sport, and art. Unusually, for a primary school, we are proud to be able to employ specialist staff in these areas, similar to a secondary school, and the standards we achieve in these more vocational subjects, together with the core curriculum subjects, is exceptional.
Most of all, however, we recognise that all of our children are unique; each possessing different skills and abilities. Our values help us to nurture each individual child to be happy, to achieve, and to have fun during their seven years with us. It is an honour for me to be able to serve as Principal at our school, helping each of our pupils to achieve their full potential and to grow up as happy and balanced individuals.
I hope that you find the information in our prospectus and on our website useful, but please feel free to contact us should you have any queries. I would be delighted to guide you round our school and to help you with any questions you may have.
Mr T J Revell, Principal (BSc, NPQH, Local Leader of Education)
Well done to the Y5/6 football teams who took part in a tournaments in Grantham this week. The girls were amazing coming 7th out of 16 teams, with the boys winning their tournament, taking them through to the semi finals in January! #prideandjoy
In Y4, we enjoyed a Theatre in Education trip to Stamford Endowed School on Wednesday. We watched some fantastic performances by the Year 11 GCSE Drama students with hilarious pirates, cowboys and space aliens! Our Y4 children were a super audience and participated brilliantly in a question and answer session at the end too. #engageandinspire #prideandjoy
We are enjoying our Children in Need day today, with children dressing in pyjamas in exchange for a donation! #engageandinspire
Miss Dakin and Miss Ellis took two teams of Y5/6 children to a lacrosse tournament at SWA yesterday. They played a series of matches and performed really well, improving as the afternoon progressed. A great afternoon enjoyed by all players! #engageandinspire
